April 24th - First Annual Blue and Gray 320m Track Meet
For the first time the running club held its own track meet on the 320 meter track located in Burleith, which is right behind Georgetown. On a cloudy Saturday (with the rain luckily holding off) members raced around the 320m oval for a relaxed day filled with friendly competition. The meet culminated in an epic 4x320m relay. And, like any meet, we handed out some quality medals to all of our first place winners. Get ready for the Second Annual Blue and Gray Track Meet!
Below are the results from the meet.

March 20th - NIRCA Penn Relayz
This year the club competed at historic Franklin Field, located at the University of Pennsylvania. And yes, Relayz is spelled correctly with a z; NIRCA put together its own type of Penn Relays, except on the club level (hence the 'z'). Everyone on the trip had a great time! We headed up on Saturday morning, raced on a beautiful day and then arrived back at Georgetown by 7pm. There were events ranging from the 4x1600, the 4x800 and the Distance Medley Relay (1200, 400, 800, 1600). The trip also offered a change in scenery from DC, as we experienced a part of Philly -- we even stopped at Wawa for lunch (for those that don't know the greatness of Wawa, Wawa is an awesome convenient store located in the Philadelphia area). The Penn Relayz can only get better next year!
